EAT Stockholm Food Forum

11-12 June, 2018 in Stockholm
Join us in Stockholm to discuss progress on solving the interconnected challenges of climate, sustainability and health and take action on transforming our global food system. Our forums are a breeding ground for uncommon collaborations, new research, new solutions and new connections.

Poor diets are now the leading global risk factor for disease, whilst the agricultural sector is the single biggest contributor to climate change, deforestation and loss of biodiversity. If current trends in population growth and changes in dietary preferences persist, the world will need to produce 50% more food by 2050, creating unsustainable pressure on natural resources. Addressing these issues is a pressing concern and the potential for positive change is vast.

Celebrating its 5th year of collaborative global impact, the 2018 forum will delve into headline challenges to food systems transformation and provide a neutral platform for engaging in disruptive discussions on the trade-offs and solutions needed. Creating healthy diets from sustainable food systems will take center stage at the Forum, linking to the work of the EAT-Lancet Commission.  In 2018, the Commission will publish its inaugural report in the Lancet, presenting concrete science targets for defining a healthy diet and a sustainable food system – and showing how to take action for a better food future.
