Ocean Week

7-9 May, 2018 in Trondheim
Novel blue technologies pave the way for new economies in the ocean space. How to bring about new value creation opportunities, and how to avoid critical stress on vulnerable ecosystems?

Climate change affects the ocean, the coast, its people and infrastructure. As the world population is growing, so is the need for food, resources and jobs.

Ocean Week focuses on blue technology, job creation and dynamic coastal communities. Ocean Week also addresses environmental interactions of aquaculture, deep sea mining, coastal infrastructure and the challenges of a cleaner ocean. Ocean start-ups and promising young scientists will reveal their contributions to a solution.

Ocean Week is a meeting place for researchers, students, companies, politicians and ocean managers, where we will discuss the responsibilities and opportunities given to us by the oceans.
